India Product Show at Kabul, Afghanistan.

ACCI(Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry) and FICCI(Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry) in collaboration with Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industries, Government of India, Indian embassy had organized the Indian Product Show at the Hotel Intercontinental, Kabul, Afghanistan from 2nd to 4th Nov.2014 with an aim to bring together Indian and Afghan companies to look at new avenues for business opportunities between India & Afghanistan.

The exhibition comprised of 50 stalls from both the countries. Indian exhibitors showcased pharmaceutical equipment, irrigation machinery, plastic, IT, cosmetic products, education, electronic equipment, tools and machinery, automobile (engine, spare parts), industrial products and hospitality.

Afghan exhibitors showcased carpet, dried fruits, handicrafts, solar energy industry, construction, stones and IT.

The Innovation Showcase Pavilion was inaugurated by Dr.Farooq Abdullah, Indian Minister of New and Renewable Energy and Dr.Steven Chu, U.S.Secretary of Energy in the presence of Dr.Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission of India.

The Pavilion highlights pioneering companies from around the world that are at the forefront of the clean energy revolution in technology sectors such as Solar, Smart and mini-grid, energy storage, lighting, electric vehicles and energy efficiency, as well as innovators in clean energy financing and consulting. Exhibitors showcased their technologies to Ministers, private-sector executives, investors and other key energy stakeholders, gaining global exposure and the potential to attract new investment and establish new business relationships.
